Sharon Lage Study Abroad Scholarship

Local scholarships for students from Connecticut and New York.

Scholarship Details:

In honor of former AFS NYC Metro & Hudson Valley Area Team Chair, Sharon Lage, and her deep commitment to promoting study abroad and to finding financial solutions for students to go on program, the AFS NYC Metro & Hudson Valley Area Team has established a $1000 scholarship to support a student going abroad on an AFS program.

Eligibility:

AFS program applicants residing in the AFS NYC Metro & Hudson Valley Area Team region are welcome to apply for the NYC Metro & Hudson Valley Area Team Local Scholarship. Preference will be given to applicants who live in Dutchess County, NY, who are applying for an AFS Summer Homestay Program.

The AFS NYC Metro & Hudson Valley Area Team is comprised of southeastern New York and Connecticut, including all of New York City, Long Island, Delaware, Dutchess, Columbia, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester Counties, as well as Fairfield County, CT.

Deadline:

The deadline to apply for the Sharon Lage AFS Study Abroad Scholarship is on March 31, 2019 (11:59pm EST). Applicants will be notified by April 25, 2019.
