The Vancouver/Battle Ground Chapter of AFS believes each student studying abroad through AFS needs to be fully invested in his/her exchange experience and expects the student to actively participate in fund-raising to supplement the financial commitment made by parents and the AFS organization.
Scholarship Type: Need-based
Scholarship Value: $500 – $1,500 based upon available chapter funds
Available Scholarships: Vary
Applicable Programs: Global Prep, Summer Semester and Year High School programs
Application Deadline: 90 days prior to the start of your AFS program
Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Students must have been accepted into the AFS-USA study abroad program for an upcoming Global Prep, Summer, Semester and Year exchange program.
- Must live in the Greater Vancouver, La Center, Ridgefield, Yacolt, Amboy, Hockinson, Battle Ground or Brush Praire Washington.
