William R. MacIntosh

Returnee – U.S. to Brazil, 1964-1965

Bill MacIntosh retired in 2011 after 40+ years in uniform and business suits. Following his service as a U.S. Army Military Intelligence officer, Bill was an international finance and treasury executive for Nestle, S.A. and for PepsiCo International. For Nestle, he completed assignments in Brazil, Switzerland, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and Sweden as well as a principal investor in the U.S. of Nestle’s offshore funds.  For PepsiCo International, Bill managed financings, foreign exchange and interest rate exposure management in South America, Asia, and Northern Europe. From Hong Kong and Tokyo Bill led the finance operations to create PepsiCo International’s first bottling plant in China.  Bill subsequently held executive positions at PHH Corporation, the U. S. Naval Institute and at Benchworks, a strategic marketing firm, where he negotiated contracts and drove a forklift.  Bill is active in local non-profits and was a board member and later President of Sail Baltimore, which hosts tall ships to Maryland, and presided over OpSail 2000 Baltimore.

Bill is a graduate of Harvard College with a BA in Economics and Harvard Business School.

He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and French and holds a black belt in judo.

Bill and his wife Kay live on a small farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and have two sons, in Boston and NYC.
