Shira Fuller is a Senior Manager in the Development and Exempt Organizations Tax practice at KPMG US. She brings more than 15 years of public accounting experience in tax services, including prior roles at Crowe and PwC, working with for-profit and tax-exempt organizations across domestic and international matters. Her nonprofit work includes tax consulting and compliance for
educational institutions, private foundations, business leagues, hospitals, and pension trusts, and she has built digital tools for tax automation and data visualization for exempt-organization practices. She holds an MS and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts and New York, and is a member of the AICPA. She lives in New York City.
Shira is drawn to AFS-USA’s work giving students the opportunity to live and experience other cultures and build lifelong connections and a broader understanding of the world. She has led organizational change in the nonprofit sector, including forming a committee to address the impact of artificial intelligence and developing related training and safeguards. Her financial and governance background positions her to contribute to committees such as Finance and Foresight.
