Madelyn White is deeply connected to AFS as a two-time returnee. She participated in a year program in Belgium (2003-2004) and a summer program in France (2000). Additionally, she is a former AFS host sibling.

Professionally, Madelyn is Counsel at Carter Ledyard & Milburn in New York City. She is an experienced litigator and represents clients in complex litigation matters, including general commercial litigation, employment disputes, condemnation, and white-collar criminal defense. Madelyn is known for her creative thinking and efficient work style, which she applies to litigating real disputes with an eye toward reaching solutions that are both economical and aligned with her clients’ business needs.

Prior to joining Carter Ledyard, Madelyn clerked for the Honorable Gabriel W. Gorenstein, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York.

She graduated from Carleton College with a double major in French and History and received her J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Madelyn White lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
