G. Taylor (Taylor) Johnson is a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams Capital Properties in Hyattsville, Maryland, working with buyers and sellers across the Washington, DC metro area and bringing hands-on experience in renovation, property management, and construction. A 21-year resident of the DC area and a former educator, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Kenyon College, is
fluent in Italian, has lived and traveled extensively abroad, and is a longtime supporter of AFS and the Human Rights Campaign. His earlier work includes service as a facilitator for dialogue and a planner of diversity training workshops.
Taylor has deep connections to AFS. He is himself an AFS returnee, having participated in an AFS program to New Zealand, and has been an active volunteer with the Capital Area Team since 2010. His many volunteer roles include Sending Interviewer, Liaison, Flight Chaperone, Orientation Volunteer, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Volunteer Registration Interviewer, and NSLI-Y Interviewer. He and his household have also opened their home as an AFS host family numerous times across program years from 2010 through the current 2026 program. Taylor is nominated to the board by the National Council of Volunteers.
