Fundraise for AFS-USA

How It Works

Three steps to launch your fundraiser

Whether you’re an alum, host family, volunteer, or friend of AFS, you can create a fundraiser to support AFS-USA’s mission and help more students experience the world-changing power of cultural exchange.

Please note: These fundraisers support AFS-USA programs and are not intended to raise funds for an individual student’s study abroad program or program fees. Donations made through these pages generally support AFS-USA’s mission and are allocated to the organization’s general fund.

Ready to make a difference? Create your own fundraising page in under 10 minutes!

1. Choose your fundraiser type

There are countless ways to raise money for AFS-USA and make an impact. Whether you’re celebrating your AFS-iversary, dedicating your birthday to AFS, hosting a dinner with friends, or taking on a personal challenge, choose a fundraiser that reflects your story, your passions, and the community you care about.

2. Set up your fundraiser page

Bring your fundraising page to life by adding a photo, sharing your AFS story, and setting a fundraising goal that inspires your community to get involved. Then, spread the word by sharing your page with friends, family, and your wider network on social media. Every share helps raise awareness and brings more people into the AFS mission.

3. Share, update, celebrate

Keep the momentum going by sharing your fundraiser with your network, posting updates on social media, and celebrating milestones along the way. Whether you’re reaching a new fundraising goal, receiving your first donation, or sharing why AFS matters to you, every update helps keep your community engaged. Fundraisers who share updates raise significantly more—so don’t be afraid to spread the word!

How will you fundraise?

Every AFS-USA community member has a reason to fundraise. Here are the most popular ways to get started.

Your Impact

Every dollar goes directly to AFS-USA programs!

Please Note: Unless otherwise designated, all donations made through AFS-USA peer-to-peer fundraising pages support AFS-USA’s mission and are allocated to the organization’s general fund. Please contact us if you’d like to explore other fundraising options.

AFS Volunteer Teams: Volunteer teams interested in creating a team-specific fundraising page should continue to submit their request through the Marketing and Development teams rather than creating a general peer-to-peer fundraising page. This ensures donations are properly designated and managed.
