The Kansas City Area AFS Foreign Exchange Team would like to welcome you to our website.

This site has the information about our team and the exciting experience of being a volunteer, hosting a foreign exchange student or becoming a foreign exchange student. If you are considering any of the above, we hope you will consider joining us.

Being involved in foreign exchange is perhaps one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences that changes lives drastically. And for the better. You learn about other cultures, meet interesting students from around the world, and become more involved in your community as you support your hosting families and schools. But most importantly, the experience changes you. It is also a great way to help spread global peace and understanding.

Volunteers in Kansas City have been involved in our community for over 50 years. Our leadership and dedicated team are so passionate about AFS that they spend much of their free time in its activities. We have over 60 dedicated volunteers who do everything from events to support.
