After getting permission from your parents, go door-to-door in your neighborhood and offer to wash windows or cars, mow lawn, rake leaves, clean/organize a garage, shovel snow, weed, etc. for donations toward your AFS program. Depending on the size and type of job, ask for $5, $10, $15, or $20 for your effort. Do your best work and let your neighbor know when the job is completed. Be prepared to explain why you are fundraising, your motivations to study abroad and details about AFS.
