It is surrounded by Ukraine, Romania, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovakia. Its capital Budapest, is its largest city and a great attraction for many tourists. In addition to being a great attraction in central Europe, Hungary also has a great presence in the European Union, NATO and the OECD. Hungary is over 93,000 square kilometers. It engages in a parliamentary democracy and has the standard 3 branches of government. Hungary became independent on November 16, 1918.
