The Gaza Strip, or Gaza, is about the same size as the city of Detroit. Gaza is considered a self-governing Palestinian territory bordering Egypt and Israel. It is located on the Mediterranean Sea, with some areas covered by sand dunes. Gaza has a rapidly dense and expanding population.
Palestinian Arabs tend to value bravery, freedom, and strong familial ties. Palestinians believe they have the right to an independent state that provides them with basic human rights. Palestinians are taught to cherish their heritage and respect their elders.
