Volunteer directly with prospective host families. The AFS Hosting Volunteer serves as the fundamental local AFS hosting representative. This role is responsible for actively recruiting host families through ‘word of mouth’ advertising and community outreach efforts in a defined area. As a hosting volunteer, you will maintain contact with prospective host families, facilitate their screening process as well as guide them through the process of selecting their student. Hosting Volunteers also work with schools in guaranteeing student placement permission.
