Submit your Pre-Application and $75 application fee
- Apply online, by mail, or by calling 1-800-AFS-INFO.
- After you submit the Pre-Application we will grant you access to your online Full Application. We’ll also match you with a local AFS volunteer and a Student Services Advisor to help you through the application process.
- Be sure to submit your complete Full Application before the application deadline. But don’t wait! Programs may fill prior to the deadline.
Get your passport
- Apply for a passport online or at your local post office.
- If you already have a U.S. passport, make sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the end of your program.
- If you are a citizen of another country, please notify your Student Services Advisor to discuss how this might affect your application and participation in the program.
