Global Leaders is AFS’s main scholarship program, offering partial need- and merit-based scholarships. Nearly 40% of applicants qualify for some level of award. Global Leaders awards decrease throughout the school year to give advantage to early applicants. Here are the current award ranges for eligible applicants:

How to apply for an AFS Global Leaders Scholarship:
1. Submit your preliminary application.
2. Submit your scholarship application cover sheet.
3. Based on your cover sheet, submit the appropriate form(s) below:
- Need-based aid application – (fee waivers available.)
- Merit-based scholarship application
Within approximately one week, the scholarship committee will review your application and notify you of your award.
4. Complete and submit your full online application, including interview and deposit, within one month of this notification.
If accepted into a program, AFS will credit your account with your award amount.
