Scholarship Giving

Make a world of a difference in students' lives by providing study abroad programs to young people everywhere. Did you know that about 50 percent of our students depend on need and/or merit-based scholarships to participate in our programs? See the immediate impacts of your gift when you provide scholarships to promising U.S. students. Here are a variety of ways you can provide a scholarship:

Unrestricted Scholarships

When you give to our Unrestricted Scholarship Fund, you help provide scholarship dollars to students in programs that need funding the most.

Restricted Scholarships

With a minimum contribution of $10,000, donors may choose to restrict a scholarship. Through restricting your scholarship, you can set specific criteria for how you want your gifts to be used. For example, you can provide scholarships for students from a geographic area, or provide scholarships for students who will be studying abroad in a specific program or country* just to name a few examples.

Faces of America Scholarships

AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international education programs. Through our Faces of America Scholarship, we are able to award diverse, high-achieving students from low-income families the opportunity to study abroad. We work with community-based organizations (CBO) in underrepresented communities, to further our reach in communities, and to make study abroad accessible for all U.S. students.
