Greater Charlotte Area Team

Want to study abroad? Open your home to a student from another country? Get involved in intercultural exchanges? Start here with AFS Charlotte.

The AFS Charlotte region is composed of 17 counties in North and South Carolina and is home to a large and dedicated contingent of volunteers, host families and others committed to meaningful cultural exchanges.

Every year, our region sends Charlotte-area high school students overseas and receives international students from around the world. There are plenty of opportunities to become involved with AFS Charlotte, which holds many fun intercultural events throughout the year.
