Full and Partial Scholarships for Year Programs to Japan.
We are currently accepting scholarship applications for the year program to Japan departing in the spring of 2015. The application deadline for both Japan scholarships is September 10, 2014.
This full, merit-based scholarship is designed to promote intercultural understanding and peace, and was created in memory of Yoshi Hattori, an AFS Exchange Student to the U.S. from Japan who was tragically killed in 1992. One scholarship will be offered.
The Sakura (cherry blossom) Scholarship is a 50%, merit- and need-based scholarship. This scholarship will cover half of the AFS-USA program fee for the high school year program to Japan. Two scholarships will be offered.
