Japan Scholarships

We are no longer accepting applications for the two scholarships to Japan for year programs departing in March of 2013. The application deadline for 2014 has not yet been set. More information will be posted at a future date.

Japan Scholarships

Two full scholarships available for the year high school program in Japan.

Yoshi Hattori Memorial Scholarship

This full, merit-based scholarship is designed to promote intercultural understanding and peace, and was created in memory of Yoshi Hattori, an AFS Exchange Student to the U.S. from Japan who was tragically killed in 1992. One scholarship will be offered. 


Toshiyuki Tanaka American Embassy Scholarship

This full, merit- and need-based scholarship is awarded through the Pacific Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo and the generosity of Mr. Toshiyuki Tanaka. One scholarship will be offered.
