You’ve seen firsthand how a teenager’s life can be utterly transformed by the experience of living and breathing in another culture. To recognize your enormous commitment to the AFS experience, we are pleased to award AFS Family Awards to eligible students applying for programs departing in 2012.
Who qualifies for the AFS Family Award?
- a member of a former or current AFS host family
- an AFS returnee
- the child or sibling of an AFS returnee
- the child of a current registered AFS Volunteer, or
- the descendant of an AFS Ambulance Driver
How do I apply for the AFS Family Award?
- Submit your Preliminary Application.
- Email scholarships@afs.org with the name and year of your AFS Family connection, and the name of the current AFS study abroad candidate
- Limited quantity available.
- The Family Award amount for students participating in 2012 programs is $200.
