Norway Gap Year High School Program – Fall Departure

Live and study abroad in Norway for an academic year and enjoy one of Europe’s most progressive and beautiful countries.

Academic standards in Norway are fairly high, so be prepared for a challenging high school experience. Most AFSers are placed in the general field of study or in the first or second year of business studies, music, drama and dance studies or sports and physical education studies.

Over the course of your year program in Norway, AFS staff and volunteers will hold a few AFS orientations and side-trips to evaluate your experience, help with your cultural adjustment and show you some of other beautiful parts of the country.

About Norway

Norwegians are avid winter sport enthusiasts and skiing is the national pastime. Norway is famous for its breathtaking glaciers and fjords. In the summer, it is popular to go hiking through the forests and mountains. There are even sunny beaches along the Gulf-Stream-warmed coastline. Also, Norwegian architecture is renowned for its stave churches which are among the oldest wooden buildings on earth.
