China Cultural Exploration - Spring Break Program

Panama Summer Community Service Program

Hungary Band Program - Summer

AFS-USA offers short educator-led programs for students in grades 8-12. These 10-14 day programs offer students cultural immersion with language extension activities.

These programs are designed for educators and youth leaders to recruit and chaperon groups of 8-15 students who will be hosted by a school and community.

The 10 day China Cultural Exploration Program settles students into a Chinese school where they learn about Chinese history and culture, assist Chinese students in learning English, and visit sites that reinforce cultural enrichment. Click to see a sample China Program Itinerary

The 14 day Panama Community Service Program brings students to a small community where they work in the morning on projects such as improving conditions in local primary schools or refurbishing homes for families with special needs children. The last days of the Panama program include a tour of the Panama Canal and a visit to an indigenous tribal community via canoe. Click to see a sample Panama Program Itinerary

The 14 day Hungary Intercultural Band Program places students in a community with a top notch music high school. Students from the music school practice with students from your school and culminate with a performance. Cultural enrichment activities in the afternoons and on the weekends. A sample itinerary is attached. Hungary also offers a 14 day leadership program with workshops and seminars on leadership principals, team building, intercultural awareness and sensitivity and much more! Both programs include excursions to Lake Balaton and Budapest. Homestay included. Click to see a sample Hungary Program Itinerary
