Your planned gift to AFS-USA can help you meet your financial and philanthropic goals while also providing long-term support that helps ensure the education and success of tomorrow’s leaders.
A bequest is the easiest way to make a planned gift to AFS-USA. It offers flexibility in that you retain use of your assets during your lifetime and can make changes at any time to reflect your philanthropic and financial goals. A charitable bequest is also deductible for federal estate tax purposes.
The following bequest language may be used to name AFS-USA as a beneficiary in your will:
“I give, devise, bequeath to AFS Intercultural Programs/USA, at One Whitehall Street, Floor 2, New York, NY 10004, Incorporated under the law of the State of Illinois, the sum of $ ____or ____ percent of my estate.”
We encourage our donors to share this information with their legal counsel, and recommend that anyone undertaking estate planning do so with the consultation of an attorney.
