Establish a Named Scholarship

Scholarships play a very important role in AFS-USA’s mission by providing opportunities for all qualified students to experience the transformational power of intercultural learning. Through a named scholarship gift, you can become the catalyst that makes a study abroad experience possible for an aspiring young scholar!

Annual and Endowed Named Scholarships

With a minimum annual contribution of $5,000 in cash or stock each program year, you can establish an annual scholarship at AFS-USA in your name or in honor of a family member or friend.  A permanent named scholarship may be established for a minimum contribution of $50,000. Established through an outright gift of cash or stock, or through a planned giving vehicle, an endowed named scholarship creates a legacy in your name or the name of a loved one, by providing study abroad opportunities to generations of young leaders in perpetuity.

All annual and endowed named scholarship donors receive regular reports informing them of their AFS-USA scholarship recipients.
