DEADLINE: We can only take 25 students on this trip, so the first 25 to sign up will be able to go. So sign up right away if you want to go. Payment is due by February 1, 2012.

WHAT: The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Official Web Site, wikipedia) is a regional repertory theatre in Ashland, Oregon. The festival annually produces eleven plays on three stages. Approximately half of the plays produced each year are by William Shakespeare. This year, we will be seeing the following plays: Romeo and Juliet and Troilus and Cressida.



IMPORTANT NOTES

  • You probably need to miss school Monday, April 23rd. Get approval and homework assignments ahead of time.
  • Bring your lunch on Saturday, April 21. We will stop on the way to Ashland and eat sack lunches at a park.
  • Bring money for souvenirs and meals. AFS will be paying for dinner Saturday night. The hotel provides free breakfast. So you are responsible for paying for the following meals with your own money: Sunday Lunch, Sunday Dinner, Monday Lunch.
  • If there are any emergencies during the trip, Jim Linhares, the trip organizer, can be reached on his cell phone at 503-805-5279.


COST: Cost is $160 per student. Payment must be received by our Treasurer by February 1, 2012. Payment can be mailed to the following address: AFS Columbia Pacific, C/O Tom Hilleary, 2827 NE Hamblet St, Portland, OR 97212. However, you must sign up online first.



WHEN: April 21-23, 2012 (Saturday through Monday)
