Below is a general overview of your expected student visa or residence permit application process. Step-by-step instructions on how to apply for your student visa will be posted below as soon as they are updated for your specific departure cycle. The visa application process for Indonesia is detailed, time-consuming, and costly. It involves collecting a number of documents including a birth certificate and a parental consent form. You will need to provide a copy of your valid passport three months before departure. You will need additional support documents from AFS-Indonesia, AFS-USA, and from the Indonesian government.
You may be required to appear at your Consulate in-person. Be prepared to travel to your regional Consulate if necessary.
The visa processing fee is currently between $45-$150 USD. This does not include the cost of obtaining, translating, notarizing, or mailing any required documents.
