All international travel requires that you have a passport that is valid for six months longer than your intended stay. Please submit your passport number and expiration date along with your AFS Full Application.
Visa
Visa In addition to your passport, you also need a entry visa in order to enter and reside in Australia.

Step-by-step instructions on how to apply for your student visa will be posted below as soon as they are updated for your specific departure cycle. As instructions are posted for your program and cycle, you will receive an email notification.

Visa Overview
The visa application process for Australia is relatively easy though it's important that you have a valid passport and that you provide a clear copy of your passport photo page along with your Full Application.
Your entry requires you to submit a simple online Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) application for Tourism purposes. The ETA Reference number needs to be sent to AFS. Although you will not receive a "visa" stamp, the online ETA application is stored electronically and linked to the passport number. This allows you to stay up to 90 days in your host country. AFS will send you instructions on how to apply for your ETA tourist visa.
The processing fee is $20.
